Loving God...Loving Others

Our Beliefs

Our Mission

Based on Christ's teachings in Matthew 22:34-39 and Mark 12:28-31, Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church exists to "Love God and Love Others".

Our Vision
The goal of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church is to involve each of our members in impacting lostness in the world around us.  Our desire is to involve every person who comes into our church in God honoring WORSHIP.  It is our desire that, through worship, each person is introduced to Christ, invited into a relationship with Him and inspired towards Christ-like living.  We hope that each person will CONNECT with others in our faith family through Sunday School.  In Sunday School, members are encouraged to connect with one another, connect with God's Word and, ultimately, to connect with the world through evangelism.  We seek to offer opportunities for individuals to DEEPEN their faith, their relationships with others and their testimony by involving them in transformational discipleship classes and small groups. Ultimately, we expect our members to IMPACT the hurt and lost in the world around them. We seek to impact our community, North America and the world with the love and message of Christ so that others may enjoy a life of worship along with us.

Statement Of Faith

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith.  The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000, which states..."The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man.  It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction.  It has God for its author, salvation for its end and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.  Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.  It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the Supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and religious opinions should be tried.  All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation."  We band ourselves together as a body of believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the Good News of salvation to lost mankind.  The ordinances of the church are Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
